About Sounds of Kathak Dance School

What is Kathak?
Which gharana is this dance shool teaching?
The dance school was born out of a desire to preserve and grow the art of storytelling that began hundreds of years ago in North India. The goal of this school is to provide a safe, nurturing, and noncompetitive learning environment for students to express themselves—developing a style of their own within the classical dance framework. My vision is to share this dance form with students of all ages and pass down this tradition to the next generation.
